the plane arrived over London in the early evening, the pilot circled around, i'm not sure why -maybe to provide the passengers with this amazing view from the windows
the sun was just starting to go down, shining golden light on the buildings in the foreground
the contrast has been upped a bit from the original, aeroplane windows make a picture look gray and dull, but raising the contrast helps pick out the details
